You are able to fit a needle past the block and still inflate the ball. I received mine at about 8 PSI which is a little low to my likings. The ball is guaranteed to stay at the proper pressure for one year. If it leaks during that period return it for a new ball. After a year it may leak like any other ball. Yes there is a cap over the air hole, but that cap can be removed and the ball inflated or deflated. I've been informed that this is actually one of Spalding's more popular basketball for the outdoors. |
